China Unicom Adds 700,000 4G Base Stations in 20 Months

China Unicom has built 700000 4G base stations, to achieve the LTE FDD (4G) license since February 27, 2015, upgrading the whole network in 341 cities.

This big figure is equivalent to 1/3 of the global total in the same period. It is the first time for China Unicom's deployment network so quickly, which used to build 100000 3G base stations each year. And created the growth on 4G subscribers, about over 90 millions 4G subscribers at present but only 44 million at the end of 2015, which lays the foundation for China Unicom wining the race.
